Ukraine’s EU bid won’t be finalized for 15-20 years, France says

Reacting to the explosive report published by the American newspaper New York Times which asserted that it was not “in America’s interest to embark on an all-out war with Russia” by getting involved with Ukraine, Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk said on Sunday: “Those who say Ukraine can’t win don’t understand the situation.” It responded to the American position mentioned in the report published by one of the main American newspapers.

Zagorodnyuk repeated that “some intellectuals and authors” describe the situation as they see it, referring to Americans. “Their vision is very wrong, but they write it, and we have to respond to it,” he told The Kyiv Independent.

“First, Ukraine can win, and that, in many ways, depends on how our partners, including the United States, will send weapons, equipment and ammunition,” the former minister said. Ukrainian Defense.

“And secondly, we see absolutely no chance for a negotiation process. Russia has not shown any sign of changing its strategic objectives regarding Ukraine. They continue to push for their narratives; they continue to make war and going on the offensive. There’s no point in talking about any kind of compromise and negotiation.”
