The plane flew to Israel ahead of an international exercise scheduled to take place in the South with the United States this week.

The plane was spotted by aviation enthusiasts on Sunday morning.

Although the IDF does not comment on “collaborations with a specific country,” the military told the Jerusalem Post: “The IDF cooperates with a variety of foreign countries and armies and conducts exercises, high-level meetings, joint research and more. “

The IAF participates in several international exercises each year to prepare for a wide range of scenarios and strengthen professional connections and operational knowledge. The IAF participated in two international exercises in June, including deploying F-35s to bases overseas for the full-scale Falcon Strike in Italy.

Meanwhile, Morocco has just concluded the 17th annual large-scale African Lion exercise with the participation of the United States, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, from Senegal and Tunisia. Military observers from 30 countries were also present.

According to Moroccan media reports, 7,000 participants took part in training aimed at combating terrorism, chemical attacks and cyber warfare during the US Africa Command’s first annual joint exercise.

“African Lion 21 is a multi-domain, multi-component, multinational exercise, which will utilize a full range of mission capabilities with the goal of enhancing interoperability between partner nations and enhancing the ability to operate in theater African operations, ”USACOM said in a statement.

Israel and Morocco have enjoyed close economic, diplomatic and military ties for years and signed a normalization agreement in December. The military ties between Israel and Morocco primarily involve intelligence cooperation and the arms trade, Haaretz reported.

In January 2020, the Moroccan military received three Israeli reconnaissance drones under a contract worth around $ 48 million. The agreement between the two countries was signed in 2014 and closed via the French company Dassault.

France operates the Heron drone under the Harfang name, and according to 2014 reports, drones acquired by Morocco were withdrawn by the French Air Force after several years of service in Afghanistan. According to a report published in Intelligence Online, drones will be deployed to counter extremist groups and combat rebel movements in Western Sahara.

The drones, which can stay in flight for more than 50 hours, would have been equipped with a transport device of three surveillance cameras, a video recording system, an air-ground communication system and electronic systems. -optics for day-night vision.

According to another report, Israel sold other military systems to Morocco, including military communication and control systems, such as radar systems for fighter jets, through a third party.
