Indonesian military training video is shared like Indian army

Video of a man in a combat uniform catching a snake as he crawled through a jungle is widely shared with overlaid text from ‘Indian Army’. Let’s check the claim made in the video.
To claim: Indian soldier catching a snake with his hand while crawling in the jungle.
Do: An extended version of the video was uploaded by an Indonesian YouTube channel “Calon Prajurit”. The video shows the training video of an Indonesian soldier belonging to the Indonesian Special Armed Forces. The channel also features several Indonesian military training visuals. Therefore, the claim made in the message is MISLEADING.
We did a reverse image search and discovered that an extended version of the viral video had been uploaded by a YouTube channel called “Calon Prajurit”, which means “soldier candidate”. The video was uploaded on September 14, 2021 with the title “TNI SI HANTU RIMBA” (TNI The Jungle Ghost). The description of the channel and the video, written in Indonesian, also states that the channel shares everything related to the Indonesian National Army.

The channel also has several Indonesian Special Armed Forces training videos. Some of them can be seen here, here and here. However, we could not independently verify whether the snake was real or not.

According to Wikipedia, Kopassus also called Hantu Rimba (Jungle Ghost) is an Indonesian army special forces group that conducts special operations missions for the Indonesian government. More information about this can be seen here.
