Andrew Hunter was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics in a ceremony at the Pentagon this morning, following his confirmation by the US Senate on February 3.
Hunter, a former senior Department of Defense official, was most recently a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies focusing on emerging technologies, defense commerce, the defense acquisition system, and industrial policy.
Now the Air Force‘s top acquisition official, Hunter was also tapped to serve as the Acting Undersecretary of Defense for Air Force Acquisition and Sustainment. Office of the Secretary of Defense.
