German Air Force flies over the promised land

“BLue Flag 2021 âis the largest and most advanced air exercise to date in Israel. The two-week exercise began on October 17 and will last until October 28. The exercises take place at Uvda Air Base with participants from seven additional air forces from around the world. Air forces from the United States, India, Great Britain, France, Greece and Italy joined the Israeli hosts. The eight nations provided a total of 70 planes and 1,000 troops. Germany provided six Eurofighter and around 160 soldiers. The German Bundeswehr website proudly titled “Air Force Travels to the Promised Land” (Look at Jerusalem translation throughout).
The IDF said the joint exercises express a strong bond between the air force and their countries, as well as a commitment to future cooperation. Prior to the exercises, the heads of the German and Israeli air forces together visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial. “The winds of history are strongly felt throughout the capital of Israel,” Israeli Major General Amikam Norkin said via a radio broadcast from his jet as the German and Israeli jets flew side by side.
“With its open airspace and topography, which lies below sea level for long periods of time, Israel offers the best training conditions for our pilots. In addition to some sixty fighter jets, the “Eagle Star” will also be visible in the sky over the Negev Desert. This special foiled Eurofighter represents the special and friendly relationship between the German and Israeli air forces, “Bundeswehr.de noted.
The German Eurofighter, with the merged imprint of the German and Israeli flags, symbolizes the close cooperation of the two nations. âI am happy to have the opportunity to be here; it’s amazing to see cooperation between countries. It is extremely exciting and motivating that all of our hard work is important not only for training purposes, but also to strengthen our relationship with our allies, âsaid Cpl. Yaël Shamir.
German and Israeli relations have deepened considerably in recent years. Last year, Israeli pilots trained in German airspace for the first time. The exercise followed the training of German pilots in Israel in November 2017 and November 2019 during the biennial multinational âBlue Flagâ military exercises.
When Germany first participated in the âBlue Flagâ in 2017, Deutschlandfunk asked the commander of the Israeli base in Uvda what the term was Luftwaffe meant to him. âEvery cooperation with Germany and Israel is very moving,â he replied. âAnd this is also true for this project. I was there as the six fighter planes entered our hangars. We cannot eliminate the past. But we are impatient. And the relationship of our planes is based on trust. Israel trusts Germany not only for joint exercises, but also for much broader military cooperation.
On November 11, 2020, Germany delivered the first Saar 6 corvette to Israel. The Sa’ar 6 is one of the most advanced combat ships in the world. An Israeli company in turn contributed to the improvement of the German submarine Type 214, considered one of the most stealthy in the world.
At the request of the German Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support of the Bundeswehr, Israeli Rafael and French Atos have teamed up to create a so-called battlefield in glass. âGermany has shown interest in using AI-controlled drone swarms [artificial intelligence] to support combat vehicles and future battle tanks, âc4isrnet noted on December 13, 2019. Since March 2010, Germany has been operating the Israeli drone Heron 1 in Afghanistan.
Israel is surrounded by enemies in the Middle East and fears Iran’s aggression and the endless threat of terrorism. In this fight, Israel needs partners and believes it has found one in Germany, a nation which in recent history has caused the greatest destruction to its people. Under Chancellor Angela Merkel, Germany was a partner that Israel believed it could trust.
These military exercises offer Israel hope that its growing link with Germany will bring security. For many Israelis, it must have been particularly emotional when all the soldiers from the participating nations ceased their exercises as the Jewish nation entered the Sabbath at sunset Friday night. The German Luftwaffe even tweeted: âJust before sunset here in Israel, we are closing the refuge and wish everyone a good weekend! #TGIF #ShabbatShalom. For the very day that the Jews were persecuted for millennia, they now receive respect.
The Sabbath is a reminder to Israel of a special covenant they made with God to obey and trust them. But today, he trusts other nations. Look at Jerusalem editor-in-chief Gerald Flurry writes in Jerusalem in prophecy, “It seems the Israelis can trust their worst enemy, but they can’t trust God to protect them!” And God is their only source of help.
As Iran grows bolder and continues to threaten Israel’s existence, the Bible prophesies that Israel will soon see Germany as its only source of hope. “Israel will become ‘lovers’ with the Germans,” writes Mr. Flurry. âThis movement will lead to their destruction. It is not the Arabs who will destroy them. The friendship between Germany and Israel will lead to one of the greatest double crosses in human history!
The Bible reveals that this blind trust will lead a German âpeacekeeping forceâ to enter Jerusalem. âAnd in the time of the end, the king of the south will push against him; and the king of the north will come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and horsemen, and many ships; and it will enter into the countries, and it will overflow and pass through. He will also enter into the glorious land, and many countries will be overthrown:⦠And he will plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; but he will come to his end, and no one will help him â(Daniel 11: 40-41, 45).
The king of the south in this prophecy refers to Iran and its radical allies who will be attacked by a Europe ruled by the Germans, or the king of the north. (For a clear explanation read our free booklet The king of the south.)
This “peacekeeping” force should not be a source of hope for Israel. History and Bible prophecy issue an alarming warning. Europe not only threatened and slaughtered the Jewish people in the last world war, but also persecuted them for centuries. Catholic Europe has repeatedly sought to violently conquer Jerusalem. This time he will enter peacefully, but not to protect the Jews. A great betrayal is looming.
Like Antiochus Epiphanes of old, a modern leader is prophesied to rise in Europe today. He will take the kingdom with flattery (verse 21) and will once again seek to destroy all the Jewish people and nations of modern Israel, primarily the United States and Great Britain (Psalm 83). The Bible prophesies of a deadly double cross, and we are seeing the stage set right now!
But even in this there is great hope.
Zechariah 14:16 says, “And it shall come to pass that all that are left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to bow down to the king, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. The events that we are seeing unfolding right now lead to the coming of the Messiah, who will give peace to the world! A time is coming when the whole world will learn to fear and worship God on his Sabbath! Today, the whole world does not worship God as he commanded. For this reason, we are about to see great suffering, but we must never forget the great hope that lies beyond!
