“I am very happy that everything has been done. [Manager] Scott Parker called me and I had a good feeling. He said he really wanted me, “Areola said Fulham official site.
“Fulham is a historic club in London and I’ve heard a lot about the stadium. I hope this season will be a good one for us. I want to bring my energy and do everything to ensure that this team keeps us where we need to be. “
Areola went through the PSG academic system before making his senior debut for the club in the 2012-13 season. He will then spend time on loan at Lens, Bastia and Villarreal.
He will claim the starting position at PSG for two campaigns before Keylor Navas arrives from Real Madrid before last season saw him go in the opposite direction on loan.
At the international level, Areola has been selected three times for France and was part of the team of his country which won the 2018 World Cup.
“I am delighted to welcome Alphonse Areola to our Fulham family!” Said Fulham general manager and sporting director Tony Khan.
“Alphonse has experience at the highest level, having played for the French team, won the league title with PSG, has been successful at RC Lens, Bastia and with Villarreal, and more recently he has played for Real Madrid in their last La Liga win season.
“We are delighted that he is joining us and he will be a great addition to our squad for our upcoming Premier League campaign! Come on Fulham!
After winning promotion to the Premier League via Championship play-offs last season, Fulham kicked off his campaign on Saturday by hosting Arsenal at Craven Cottage.
