Air Force shoots best round of season

US AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force Golf Team shot their best round of the season in the second round of the CSU Ram Masters, Monday, Sept. 19, at Fort Collins Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo. On the first day of the tournament, teams played 36 holes on the par-70 course.
The Falcons shot a 302 in the first round followed by a season-best 298 in the second round.
First-year student Brooks Morell shot his career-best collegiate round with a 73(+3) in the first round. He surpassed that mark in the second round with a 71 (+1) to end the day tied for 35e in total to 144 (+4). Morrell had five birdies that day and played the FCCC forward at one under par in both rounds.
First-year student Alvaro Fonseca tied his college career best of 73 (+3) in the first round. He had three birdies on the day and sits at 152 after 36 holes.
Second year Christopher Park shot 77 in each round for a total of 154 over 36 holes. Cameron Kahle seat at 155 and senior isaac layne at 157.
Second year Christopher Ehrenbergerplaying as an individual, shot a 74 in the first round and a 75 in the second round for a total of 149 over two rounds.
The host school, Colorado State, leads the tournament with a 554. CSU Fullerton is second (558) and Utah Valley is third (559). The Air Force is in 15e set to 600.
The final round of the CSU Ram Masters will take place on Tuesday, September 20 starting at 8:00 a.m. MT from #10.
